Biography
Marializa V. Bernardo, MD is a board-certified nephrologist. She earned her medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines; completed her residency at Prince George’s Hospital, Cheverly, Maryland; and specialized further by achieving a fellowship in nephrology at Baylor College of Medicine and the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.
At Southeast Kidney Associates, LLP in Houston, Dr. Bernardo provides comprehensive care for patients with kidney disease, focusing on the diagnosis and management of renal conditions. She is committed to delivering individualized kidney care based on patient needs to help her patients achieve the best possible outcomes.
Dr. Bernardo is an active member of the American College of Physicians, the National Kidney Foundation, the Texas Gulf Coast Nephrology Association, the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, and the Harris County Medical Association. During her training, she was recognized as a Dean’s Scholar and received the Henry Christian Award for Excellence in Research. She is fluent in Tagalog.
