Biography
Jonathan Smith, MD is a board-certified nephrologist. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center – Dallas; completed his residency at the University of Texas Medical School – Houston; and specialized further by achieving a fellowship in nephrology at the University of Texas Medical School – Houston.
At Southeast Kidney Associates, LLP in Houston, Dr. Smith provides comprehensive care for patients with kidney disease. He focuses on the diagnosis and management of kidney conditions, bringing specialized expertise to his clinical practice.
Dr. Smith’s research includes work on unusual causes of high anion gap metabolic acidosis, which he has presented at the Society of Critical Care Medicine. He has been honored with the Intern of the Year Award and the AOA Delta Chapter House Officer Award.
